[Edaily] Lee & Ko Hosts Webinars on Amendments to the Personal Information Protection Act

On March 9, 2023, the Edaily reported on Lee & Ko’s hosting of a series of seminars on the recent amendments to the Personal Information Protection Act. Lee & Ko and the Korea Data Law and Policy Society will jointly hold the three-part webinar series entitled “Amendments, Changes and Response to the Personal Information Protection Act of 2023” on March 15th, March 29 and April 12th. The first part is on ‘the easing of requirements for the processing of personal information, pseudonymized processing, and right to data portability’; the second part on ‘the unification of data protection rules for offline and online businesses, administrative penalties and criminal penalties, mediation of disputes involving personal information, and other amendments’; and the third part on ‘mobile visual information processing devices, cross-border transfers, and automated decision-making.’
