[Newspim] [Law firm issue] Lawyers from Lee & Ko and defector college students from North Korea become friends

On August 30, 2022, Newspim reported the activity of “Lee & Ko Friends” program in its third year. “Lee & Ko Friends”, co-hosted by Lee & Ko and Together Foundation Career Development Center for North Korean Defectors, is a mentorship program in which attorneys from Lee & Ko and defector college students from North Korea build a mutually beneficial, lasting relationship by casually meeting and socializing.

11 attorneys from Lee & Ko and 11 young North Korean defectors participating in the third- year “Lee & Ko Friends” mentorship program will meet one-on-one over the next five months to build good relationships by sharing concerns on daily lives and future career paths. Kyeong-Seop Yoon, an attorney at Lee & Ko who participated in the program, said, “this is the first time I have had a close relationship with young North Korean defectors,” adding, “I hope to build warm and positive relationships with them.”
