Lee & Ko holds “Data & AI Legal Policy Challenges” webinar

At 3 pm on July 7, Lee & Ko is to hold a webinar titled “2020 Legal Policy Challenges for Data and AI” which analyzes legal policy issues relating to data and AI.
This seminar, to be held by Lee & Ko, the Korea Data Law and Policy Society (President Sung-Yeop Lee, professor at Korea University), and International Cyber Law Studies (President Nohyeong Park, professor at Korea University) before the upcoming amendment of the Data 3 law comes into force on August 5, will analyze data and AI related legal policy issues on the subject of the amended Credit Information Use and Protection Act (CIUPA) and MyData, and the comparison between the amended Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and pseudonym processing by GDPR.
In particular, Lee & Ko’s Personal (Credit) Information Team (Team Leader, Attorney Hwan Kyoung Ko), which specializes in credit information related matters such as various new projects, the creation of new businesses by tech companies, and finance companies entering into new projects etc. using credit information in accordance with the recently amended CIUPA, expects that the seminar will be a meaningful gathering in which the government, the academia, and industry experts can share opinions in addition to the in-depth presentation on pseudonym processing, which is one of the core issues in the MyData and Data 3 law that is viewed as a driving force for data-based innovation.
