On March 18, 2026, The Korea Economic Daily published an op-ed by Mr. Min-Ho Lee of Lee & Ko. In the article, Mr. Lee emphasized that "for discussions on abolishing the Korea Fair Trade Commission’s exclusive right to criminal referral to be effective, an extensive overhaul of the broad provisions on criminal penalties currently stipulated under the Monopoly Regulation and Fair Trade Act must be prioritized."
