On June 1, 2020, Law Times reported on an interview with Lee & Ko’s recruiting team regarding the hiring of first-year attorneys.
Law Times reported that “When hiring applicants, Lee & Ko envisions how the applicant will be in 10, 20 years instead of focusing on the applicant’s present capacity,” and added that “Lee & Ko tends to notice applicants who think and act like a professional befitting of a law firm with many talented lawyers.”
With regard to selecting interns, Attorney Yong Joon Yoon, the head of Lee & Ko’s recruiting team, stated that “The idea behind Lee & Ko's internship is to have interns plunge right into the work performed by actual lawyers and watch how they think and do things in handling the work," and also remarked that “In the process of giving out assignments and conducting a critical review, those who bring much deliberated and well-reasoned results and those who seek to learn more and grow in the relevant field of work usually receive good evaluations.”
