On February 28, 2020, The Herald Business reported on Lee & Ko’s Digital Forensic Team, which has been strengthening its capacity to prepare for the increasingly prevalent search and seizure investigations of smartphones by the prosecution.
The Herald Business noted that "Park Keun-beom, a former chief prosecutor of the High-Tech Crimes Investigation Department of the Seoul Central Prosecutor's Office, is currently leading Lee & Ko’s Digital Forensics Team," and added that “Lee & Ko’s Digital Forensics Team was able to successfully obtain a Supreme Court ruling which held that a person whose cell phone was subject to a search and seizure investigation in 2017 had the same right to participate in the process as with search and seizures of computer hard disks and USBs, and that the list of electronic information stored on the cell phone must be provided in advance.”
