In this conference held discuss ways Korean companies could prepareto comply with the US economic sanctions and export controls. Dongeun Kim, a partner at Lee&Ko warned the Korean companies of various direct penalties and indirect disadvantages that could incur from the violations. Accordingly, Dongeun Kim advised the Korean companies to implement comprehensive compliance programs and other risk management measures (i.e., internal investigation, entity screening, enhanced due diligence, etc.) in order to prevent and mitigate the risk in advance.
