On September 19, Lee & Ko will host a joint seminar with Morgan Lewis, a U.S. law firm, targeting pharmaceutical and bio-pharma industry professionals. The seminar will be held at the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association’s main auditorium, and will address a wide range of recent issues in the pharmaceutical bio-industry, from IP case law trends in Korea to AI patent strategies in the medical field.
Lee & Ko’s attorneys Kyung Jin Lee, Yu Seok Kim and Hong Seon Kim will present on the topic of “recent pharma-related IP case law trend in Korea,” “attracting investors and making equity investment in bio-startups” and “the latest issue in employee invention in pharmaceutical bio-industry.”
From Morgan Lewis, Dr. Hywel Jones, founder and CEO of Singular Bio, will share his real-life experience and know-how on growing and selling startups and present on the topic of “bio-startup growth and investment/sale strategies.” Following Dr. Jones’ presentation, Dr. Hye Seung Lee and attorney Ho Sang Lee will present on the topic of “bio/pharmaceutical U.S. patent strategy and drafting specifications” and “AI patent and patent strategy.”
