Guidelines needed for Korean capital markets law
Korea's keenly anticipated Capital Market Consolidation Act(CMCA) came into effect on February 4. But the Act, which removes restrictions to allow non-financial institutions to disversify into investment banking practices, is still lacking guidelines.
Lee & Ko partner Wonkyu Han expects the country's Financial Supervisory Service(FSS) to introduce some of these within the first three months, the trial period of the new Act.....
