Woo-Young Choi of Lee & Ko wrote a piece for The Korea Economic Daily on February 10, 2022, wherein he examined the legal intricacies of NFTs in games.
 
In his contribution, Choi said, “Some gaming companies are of the opinion that NFTs in games can be issued and distributed without regulations so long as Korean users remain unable to access the game in question, but if NFTs in games are issued domestically or distributed in the domestic exchange, they may still end up falling under the Korean Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act.”
