Jin Kim is a senior foreign attorney in the Corporate Group with emphasis on energy & natural resources. He returned to Lee & Ko in 2012 as an expert and highly-skilled negotiator in international oil and gas transactions and cross-border M&A. In private practice and as the former General Counsel of Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC), Mr. Kim handled a number of private and public market multi-billion dollar deals in multiple jurisdictions, as well as legal issues relating to oil and gas development projects.

Mr. Kim has extensive experience in orchestrating a variety of complex legal issues associated with oil and gas and infrastructure development projects. He regularly advises clients on both legal and commercial matters in connection with acquisitions, divestments, trades and mergers, strategic commercial and business, acquisition finance, project finance & infrastructure, large infrastructure projects, nationalization/expropriation, anti-corruption and sanctions, unitization, boundary disputes, exploration, development and production operations, production sharing contracts, negotiations and dispute resolution.

Mr. Kim frequently speaks about his industry experience at numerous conferences, seminars and universities. One of his lecture experiences was about training the staff of the Ministry of Oil of Iraq on the subject of international petroleum transactions.
