Dae Hyon Choi is senior advisor at Lee & Ko. He has extensive experience in corporate banking, investment banking, corporate restructuring, private equity, and capital markets, built over a distinguished 31-year career at the Korea Development Bank.
At KDB, Mr. Choi held a number of senior leadership positions, including Executive Vice President of Corporate Banking and Senior Executive Vice President. He played a leading role in some of Korea’s most significant corporate restructuring and financial stabilization matters, including the privatization and normalization of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, now Hanwha Ocean; the integration of Korean Air and Asiana Airlines; and the restructuring and normalization of HMM, Doosan Group, GM Korea, and Kumho Tire.
From 2023 to 2025, Mr. Choi served as Chief Executive Officer of KDB Investment, a KDB subsidiary specializing in corporate restructuring investments, private equity fund management, and the management and disposition of assets held by KDB and its affiliates. Based on his broad experience across policy finance, corporate restructuring, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and investment banking, he advises clients on complex corporate and financial matters.
