Joo Hee Cho is a member of Lee & Ko's Corporate Group and is based in the Ho Chi Minh City office. She provides comprehensive legal advisory services on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), foreign investments, joint ventures, establishment of representative offices, branches, and subsidiaries, as well as regulatory compliance.

With deep expertise in corporate law across Korea and Southeast Asia, she offers strategic legal counsel not only in Vietnam but also in key Southeast Asian markets. Ms. Cho has handled numerous significant transactions for Korean companies expanding into Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Her representative cases include advising HanExpress on its logistics joint venture with Vietnam's Viconship; counseling AJ Total on its acquisition of a local corporation for cold storage business expansion in Vietnam; and guiding Dongwha Pharm on its entry into Vietnam's pharmaceutical market and acquisition of a local corporation.

Ms. Cho has also advised a Korean organoid technology company on its entry into Vietnam's biotech market and establishment of a local corporation; provided counsel to Celltrion on establishing a Vietnamese subsidiary and entering the local pharmaceutical business; and assisted Smilegate with establishing a Vietnamese subsidiary and entering the game development business in Vietnam. Additionally, she has advised the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) on investigating IP infringements of K-Brands in Vietnam and subsequent measures.
In the energy sector, Ms. Cho has advised a major Korean energy company on solar power generation projects and waste/recycling business projects, as well as counseled a Korean power generation company on land development power generation projects in Indonesia.

Prior to joining Lee & Ko, she served as in-house counsel at Korindo Group in Indonesia, where she handled foreign investments, M&A, resource development, and export transactions, gaining hands-on experience in the Southeast Asian business environment. She later joined Ernst & Young Han Young as in-house counsel, advising on corporate compliance in accordance with global standards and strengthening her expertise in risk management and legal strategy for multinational corporations.
