Lee & Ko represented LG Uplus Corp. for its issue of USD300,000,000 USD:KRX FX linked convertible bonds due 2012 (the “Bonds”) convertible into the treasury shares held by the issuer. The Bonds were issued as of September 29, 2010 in the Euromarket through successful accelerated bookbuilding process and listed on the Singapore Exchange. Morgan Stanley & Co. International pls, The Bank of New York Mellon and the Korea Securities Depository acted as initial purchaser of the Bonds, the principal agent and the conversion agent, respectively. Partners Wonkyu Han and Hyunjoo Oh led the firm’s transaction team.
