Gyu Jong Jeong joined Lee & Ko in 2021 and advises on matters relating to capital market regulations and sanctions.

He began his career with the Financial Supervisory Service in 1996. During his 25 year tenure with the FSS, he has handled and oversaw various tasks, including, supervision and inspection of financial institutions and market regulation and sanctions.

In particular, he has directly supervised unfair trade investigations and reviewed hundreds of reports of unfair trade cases for over 13 years. He earned his evaluation as an "expert officer" in the area of investigation of unfair trade in financial products and sanctions.

He also gained reputation as an expert in unfair trade. He served as the head of the task force which set the guidelines for illegal trade and market order disturbance actions. These guidelines are now used by the FSS investigators as standard reference in their enforcement work.

Drawing upon his experience gained while working at the FSS Sanction Review Department, he also offers in-depth and practical advice and solutions in the fields of financial investments and public disclosures.
