Jungwon Kwon is a partner in the Antitrust & Competition Group. Pursuant to joining the firm in 2014, her practice focuses on the areas of Antitrust & Competition, including merger control, cartel, abuse of market dominance, unfair practices, and antitrust litigation. Ms. Kwon is fluent in English and has advised many multinational corporations on various antitrust matters.
Ms. Kwon has handled several high-profile merger review cases such as Walt Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox and Raytheon-United Technologies merger. She also advised client as an interested third party in the KFTC’s merger review of the acquisition of Tokyo Electron by Applied Materials, which resulted in AMAT and TEL abandoning the deal due to objections from antitrust regulators.
Additionally, she has handled both international cartel cases such as FX cartel and DRAM cartel and domestic cartel cases including CD Rates cartel and industrial gunpowder cartel.
