Jinyoung Yang is a senior advisor in the Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice Group at Lee & Ko. He is a leading expert in healthcare regulation and policy, with over 30 years of public service experience spanning the safety management of food, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and cosmetics.

Prior to joining Lee & Ko, Dr. Yang served as Vice Minister of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), where he oversaw Korea's regulatory framework for food and drug safety. He subsequently served as Chairperson of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Medical Innovation Foundation, supporting new drug and medical device development and the advancement of Korea's medical industry. During his distinguished career at the MFDS, he held key leadership positions including Director General of the Medical Device Safety Bureau, Commissioner of the Seoul Regional Food and Drug Administration, and Director General for Planning and Coordination.
