Hun Ko is a partner in the Banking and Finance Group. He is highly recognized as one of the leading project finance lawyers in Korea. Since joining Lee & Ko in 1998, he has focused his practice in Finance with a particular emphasis on PPI projects such as toll roads, railways, port and power plants(coal, LNG, wind, solar, etc.), project finance, construction and real estate development. He represents major construction companies and financial institutions based locally and overseas.

As a result of his solid experience in his practice areas, Mr. Ko is highly regarded as an innovative lawyer who has created standard forms of various project agreements for infrastructure and construction in Korea. In addition, he has provided legal assistance for investment into Central Asia including Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in the areas of both real estate and natural resource development.

As leading counsel Mr. Ko has successfully represented numerous infrastructure and project finance matters including, among others, construction companies such as: GS Engineering & Construction, Hyundai E&C, Daelim Industrial, Kumho, Samsung C&T, financial institutions such as Korea Development Bank, Woori Bank, Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank, Nognhyup Bank, Samsung Life Insurance, Kyobo Life Insurance, Hanwha Life Insurance and institutions for national pension or credit unions such as the National Pension Service and the Korea Teachers Credit Union.
