Lee & Ko acted as legal advisor to the concessionaire and project company in connection with the project financing of the Dongbuk Urban Railway Private Participation Project on all aspects of the transaction from its business promotion stage. The Concession Agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Government was successfully executed on July 5, 2018, with the financing documents executed on December 26, 2019.

This project is a large-scale urban railway project led by the concessionaire represented by Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd., and its financing was arranged by Kookmin Bank, Industrial Bank of Korea and Korea Development Bank. The successful closing of this project financing required understanding of the needs of various parties and providing solution which satisfies those differing interests.
