After vigorous bidding among various entities, throughout which Lee & Ko provided successful and comprehensive legal advice, an agreement was reached for the sale on December 20, 2018. Uni-President Enterprises Corp., one of the leading food brands in Taiwan, purchased 74.8 percent stake in Woongjin Foods for $229 million as part of its efforts to further expand into other regional markets in the upcoming future. Lee & Ko provided comprehensive legal advice on this transaction, which is expected to close within the first quarter of 2019.
