Acquisition of Darcl Logistics Limited, Indian logistics company, by CJ Logistics Corporation

Lee & Ko advised CJ Logistics Corporation, a global logistics company, in connection with its acquisition of 50% equity interest in Darcl Logistics Limited, a company that operates integrated transportation business, including land, rail and marine transportation, by way of subscription to certain newly issued shares and purchase of certain existing shares from the shareholders of Darcl. The deal value amounted to approximately KRW 57 billion. It is deemed that CJ Logistics Corporation, with its successful execution of the share purchase agreement for this deal on April 25, 2017, has laid the foundation for making an entry into the Indian logistics market through Darcl, since Darcl ranks No. 1 in transportation business and No. 3 in integrated logistics business in India.
