Acquisition of shares in Delivery Hero by Naspers

Lee & Ko successfully advised Naspers, a global internet and entertainment company, as its local counsel in its acquisition of newly issued shares in Delivery Hero, a global online food ordering and delivery company, on May 12, 2017. Naspers acquired 10% of newly issued shares in Delivery Hero Group for EUR 387 million, which provides online food ordering and delivery services through mobile applications called Baedaltong and Yogiyo. Lee & Ko conducted a legal due diligence on overall aspects of the business operated by Delivery Hero in Korea, and provided effective legal advice to reflect the findings from the due diligence in the relevant agreements, and consequently led to a successful completion of this transaction.
