Acquisition of B&B KOREA by WaterBridge SKS Private Equity Fund

Lee & Ko has recently represented the WaterBridge SKS Private Equity Fund in its acquisition of the cosmetics manufacturer, B&B KOREA Co., Ltd., which quickly emerged as one of the fastest growing companies of its kind. The transaction was successfully completed in July of 2015. Lee & Ko handled various facets of this transaction including matters related to the shareholding structure of the PEF, the Financial Services Commission’s approval of SK Securities, Co., Ltd. as the General Partner, and the SPC’s issuance of bonds, etc.; thereby providing expert advice and guidance to ensure that the current transaction would efficiently and effectively proceed in a short time period . In particular, the firm was able to generate a collaborative effort with the Lee & Ko Beijing Office to provide effective representation in connection with B&B Korea’s entrance into the Chinese market, and thus, was able to significantly contribute to the smooth completion of the transaction.
