Advised for Chucheon Combined Heat & Power Plant Project

Lee & Ko acted as legal advisors to the joint arrangers of Kookmin Bank, Samsung Life Insurance Co., Ltd. and the Industrial Bank of Korea in connection with the senior funding (commitment amount of KRW 445,900,000,000) for the development of the Chucheon Combined Heat & Power Plant Project in December 2014. Lee & Ko assisted in the completion of the senior loan agreement and still continues to provide advice for these joint arrangers in regard to subordinated financing (commitment amount of KRW 66,600,000,000). The first drawdown of the commitment amount for this project financing transaction is expected in the first-half of 2015. In this regard, Lee & Ko’s successful assistance in the equity bridge loan of the Gangneung Coal-fired Electrical Power Plant Project, Daewoo Pocheon LNG-fired Electrical Power Plant Project and the GS Pocheon Combined Heat & Power Plant Project has now continued on to the Chucheon Combined Heat & Power Plant Project, further demonstrating the firm’s success in providing legal consultation to the electric power industry.
