Lee & Ko acted as legal advisors to IGIS Asset Management Co., Ltd. in connection with carrying out the successful KRW 300,000,000,000 acquisition, by IGIS Asset Management Co., Ltd. managed real estate trust, of KCC Corporation’s previous factory site located in Suwon city, Gyeonggi Province. Lee & Ko provided legal services to IGIS with respect to the overall transaction, from establishing the real estate trust to the closing of the deal. Even before the development project was finalized on this land, a large-scale shopping mall complex was already in the process of being built. Therefore, this real estate transaction involved resolving conflicts of interests of the seller, purchaser and tenant, as well as numerous other interested parties. Despite such contingent circumstances and the involvement of a large number of interested parties, the transaction was closed as scheduled and led to the successful construction of Lotte Suwon Mall, the largest shopping mall in the Southern Gyeonggi Province.
