Employees who were initially hired as fixed-term employees at a subsidiary of a major broadcasting company and later eligible to become permanent employees were discovered to have falsified their resumes during the process of converting their status to fixed-term employees, and as a result, were subsequently terminated for falsifying their resumes.

Lee & Ko carefully analyzed the hiring process of the subsidiary and effectively utilized case precedents to successfully persuade the court in favor of our client. This victory is significant in that although the terminations were solely based on the falsifying of resumes, the timing of the Company’s decision may have been seen as retaliation for the Employees’ providing notice of their conversion to permanent employee status. However, Lee & Ko was able to avoid this potential misunderstanding and maintain focus on the real issues of the case.
