Doosan’s Share Acquisition of ArcelorMittal’s Circuit Foil

Lee & Ko represented Doosan Corporation Electro-Materials (“Doosan”) in its acquisition of 100% of the shares of Circuit Foil Luxembourg, a leading worldwide supplier of copper foils to high-tech industries and wholly-owned subsidiary of global steel manufacturer ArcelorMittal.  The deal closed in late July of 2014.  Circuit Foil owns the original technology for manufacturing copper clad laminates, and thus the acquisition of Circuit Foil by Doosan is expected to strengthen Doosan’s European network.
