Lee & Ko acted as legal counsel to Hanjin Energy, a subsidiary of Korean Air, with respect to the sale of Hanjin Energy’s 28.41% stake in S-Oil to Aramco Overseas Company, B.V., the world’s largest oil producer. The deal was signed on July 2, 2014.

The transaction is valued at nearly KRW 2 trillion, and is scheduled for completion once the necessary regulatory approvals are obtained from the Korean and foreign antitrust authorities.
