Woori Finance Holdings Co. (“Woori”) sold 6 of its units (Woori Investment & Securities Co., Woori Aviva Life Insurance, Woori Asset Management Co., Ltd., Woori Financial Savings Bank, Woori Financial Co., Ltd., and Woori F&I Co., Ltd.) simultaneously as part of the banking group’s privatization scheme. As legal counsel to Woori through April 2014, Lee & Ko’s M&A team conducted due diligence for each company while also actively assisting in the bidding process, and provided advice on designing the most effective deal structure and maximizing the return of public funds.
