Samsung SDS Co., Ltd. (“Samsung SDS”) acquired Samsung SNS Co., Ltd. (“Samsung SNS”) on December 19, 2013. Lee & Ko provided comprehensive legal advice on various legal issues involved with the merger.
Through the above merger, Samsung SDS aimed to increase its capacity to build a high-tech “smart town” by using Samsung SNS’ experience in designing and establishing IT infrastructure. Furthermore, by expanding Samsung SNS’ wireless communications network building project to incorporate management services as well, the merger provided Samsung SDS with the opportunity to grow into a global ICT service firm.
