Lee & Ko acted as project financing legal advisors to STX Electric Power Co., Ltd. (the financial borrower) in December 2013 for the procurement of funding with respect to the development of the Bukpyung Coal Thermal Power Plant as the first coal thermal power plant in Korea. The necessary funding was procured through a project finance structure that was successfully implemented in December 2014. In this regard, Lee & Ko continues its strong reputation and continues to expand its experience in handling project finance transactions in connection with various power industries, not only in the field of thermal power plants and combined cycle power plants, but wind power plants and solar power plants as well.
