Lee & Ko is currently acting as legal advisor to the developer for the Anyang Retail and Office Complex Project. The total project costs for the project, which involves the construction and sale of a commercial retail and office complex in Anyang, Korea, amounts to approximately USD 615 Million. A unique aspect of this transaction is that (i) the complex will be sold to a real estate investment trust (i.e., REITS) under the Real Estate Investment Company Act, and (ii) the REITS, in turn, will lease the complex back to the developer, hence making it a sale and lease-back transaction.
