
On April 15, 2021, Lee & Ko and the Korea Industrial Safety Association (CEO Jong Sun Park) have entered a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen its consulting capabilities relating to the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
Lee & Ko and the Korea Industrial Safety Association shares the vision that promoting a society protecting life and health of its citizens and workers is the cornerstone of sustainable development, and have entered into a memorandum of understanding to establish cooperation to prevent Serious Accidents and secure occupational safety. In particular, the pending enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act will increase the management risk exposure of companies, which will require more sophisticated analysis and guidance to respond to such increased risks.
By entering into this MOU, Lee & Ko and the Korea Industrial Safety Association will share expertise to and cooperate regarding related research.
Specifically, both parties will cooperate and support each other in legal education, establishing a safety and health management system, safety evaluation, risk assessment, safety management.
