The tides of the international trade are rising higher than ever. The trade war between US and China, the escalating US-Iran tensions and the fallout between US and Russia are mounting pressure on the global economic stability. The Trump administration is extending the extraterritorial reach of their US laws in the area of economic sanction and export control. Korean companies and the local financial institutions are facing heavier burdens to comply with the regulatory headwinds of major jurisdictions who are increasingly taking hard stance on the area of economic sanctions in the best interest of their economy. This is certainly an additional burden to the many existing, internationally adopted control regime such as US conventions.

This seminar will be delivered in 3 different sessions provided by Lee & Ko, Korea Strategic Trade Institute (KOSTI), local and overseas experts in the field. The topics will include US Sanctions and Export Controls and corresponding Korean regulations, recent US sanction cases on non-US companies, classification of strategic items plus export controls regime and compliance programs to mitigate relevant risk.

Please join us for this extraordinary program both in substantive topics and networking opportunities with other IHCF members, subject matter experts, and other distinguished guests. Refreshments will be served!
