Lee & Ko’s Insurance Team hosted a seminar jointly with Lawrence Graham LLP on April 17, 2013 on the topic of “Issues in re-insurance contracts and resolution in re-insurance disputes.” This joint seminar was sponsored by the Korea Insurance Research Institute, and attorneys with vast experience in re-insurance disputes led the in-depth discussions on the issues of re-insurance, a topic which lacked sufficient research in Korea so far. The joint seminar received much attention and participation from the community as it dealt with a number of issues that were rarely dealt with in Korea, such as major issues in re-insurance contracts, preservation of re-insurance claim, effective resolution of re-insurance disputes, personal data protection and the Insurance Act, etc. in the context of the laws of England and Korea.
