LEE & KO’s Tax & Customs Group held its “Seminar on Tariffs for the Second Half of 2015 for Foreign Investment Enterprises” on November 6, 2015, from 2pm – 5pm, in the Academia Conference Room on the 10th Floor of the New Wing of the Hanjin Building.
In this seminar, Youngmo Lee, Lee & Ko’s licensed Customs Consultant, delivered a presentation titled: “Interpretation Guideline for recognition of Normal Referent Price for Corporate Tax as Customs Transaction Price” and Lee & Ko Partner Attorney, You Chull Jung, and special advisor, Seon Oh, delivered a presentation titled: "Key Foreign Exchange Transaction Act Cases and Related Prosecution Practices.” Afterwards, Joseph Hong, a U.S. licensed attorney at Lee & Ko, provided a discussion of “Recent Korean Court Cases on Customs Law Issues Impacting Foreign-Invested Companies,” which focused in particular on royalties and international marketing fees.
