On May 17, 2023, Lee & Ko held a webinar on 'The Present and Future of Digital Health' to share the current status of the digital health industry and regulatory trends, and to discuss what companies need to know and how to improve the system in order to respond well to the era of digital transformation.

In the first session, Jin Hwan CHUNG, head of the Digital Health Team, on the topic of 'Understanding Digital Health', explaining that the era of digital health has arrived due to changes in the medical paradigm and advances in IT-based technologies. However, he explained that the digital health sector is also a regulated industry, so it is inevitable to apply regulations related to personal information protection and medical care. However, in the mid- to long-term, he emphasised that the growth of digital health is expected in the mid- to long-term, explaining that regulations related to digital health will continue to improve.

In the second session, Sunghee CHAE discussed 'Trends and Issues in Health MyData', explaining the overall right to demand the transfer of personal information introduced under the revised Personal Information Protection Act. And the introduction and promotion of health data as an important national agenda in the form of ‘Health MyData’

In the third session, Sung Il BANG and Ug LEE explained the improvements and trends related to new health technology assessment under the topic of "Application Procedures of Digital Health in the Medical Field" and described scenarios in which companies can introduce medical technology into the medical field through new health technology assessment.
