July 3, 2023 - The Bell reported that Lee & Ko has been gaining momentum in the M&A legal advisory sector, posing a threat to the stronghold of Kim & Chang. According to the Bell, "Lee & Ko's share in the advisory sector in the first quarter was 13.1%, indicating a significant gap from the first-place holder Kim & Chang, which recorded 27.64% during the same period." The Bell also stated, "However, Lee & Ko experienced a significant increase in its market share in the second quarter, recording 18.12% for the first half of the year. Currently, the gap between the two firms is only 4 percent." The Bell explained, "Securing the deal of SK On's investment attraction (1.8 trillion won) has contributed to Lee & Ko's outstanding achievement as this deal added to their record of deals in the billion-unit range." The Bell further added, "In addition, securing numerous major deals worth hundreds of billions of won has also greatly boosted their performance."
