On September 28, 2021, the Bell reported on Lee & Ko Attorney Hyunjoo Oh’s speech at the ‘2021 THE NEXT: Corporate Governance Conference’.
In her presentation, Ms. Oh stated that, “In the recent years, the amount of ESG investment products has increased 2-3 times. I believe that this is largely due to the increase in level of acceptance that ESG is an unavoidable megatrend. However, from an investment expansion standpoint, a gradual approach should be taken. This is because we have observed cases where some institutions suggest target investment ratios which exceed what is actually attainable, while in other cases, this has actually been well implemented in dealing with long-term risk management”.
