Lee & Ko recruited Woong Seob Zhin, former governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, as senior advisor to the firm with the aim of strengthening Lee & Ko’s Banking & Finance Practice Group.

Senior Advisor Woong Seob Zhin, a Seoul native, graduated with an LLB from KonKuk University and entered the public service upon passing the 28th Civil Service Examination. Mr. Zhin has served at the Financial Supervisory Service as Secretary General of the Public Fund Management Committee, spokesperson, Director of Capital Markets, and Director of Korea Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), and later as President of Korea Finance Corporation in 2014, and Director of the Financial Supervisory Service from 2014 to 2017.

In addition to having a broad network of financial and bureaucratic organizations, senior advisor Woong Seob Zhin has in-depth knowledge in financial supervision policies and direction based on his long and extensive experience at the Financial Supervisory Service.
