On January 23, 2012, Lee & Ko appointed Won Kyou Ryou to serve as a new senior partner for the firm. Mr. Ryou has been actively performing an advisory role for Lee & Ko’s Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group since joining the firm in 2009. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ryou compiled an impressive record of achievement during his approximately 30 years of service as a judicial officer in Korea’s judicial system in various positions of responsibility, including, among other positions, serving as Chief Judge for the Seoul Family Court, Chief Judge for the Seoul Western District Court, Presiding Judge for the Seoul High Court, Presiding Judge for the Busan High Court and Research Judge for the Supreme Court of Korea.
