Lee & Ko won the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Deal of the Year at ALB Korea Law Awards 2022, in recognition of its outstanding performance in the acquisition of Delivery Hero Korea LLC (operator of the Yogiyo food delivery service application) by Permira Fund and GS Retail.
Lee & Ko, as a legal counsel for Permira Fund and GS Retail, contributed to the successful completion of the acquisition of Delivery Hero Korea LLC, earning recognition for its excellent performance in the TMT field. With respect to the deal, Permira Fund, GS Retail and Affinity Fund formed a consortium and executed a share purchase agreement regarding purchase of 100% of the equity interest in Delivery Hero Korea LLC by Delivery Hero SE with purchase price of KRW 800 billion (USD 676 million). In this transaction, Lee & Ko successfully advised Permira Fund and GS Retail by providing an accurate reviews and advice on all relevant issues, including due diligence, negotiations for relevant agreements, filing of merger, and the closing, and led to execution of all transactions in an efficient manner.
