“Law Firm of the Year” at the 2022 MIP Asia Awards

Lee & Ko was awarded “Law Firm of the Year” in the areas of Trademark and IP Transactions & Advisory at the 2022 MIP Asia Pacific Awards hosted by the Managing IP (MIP). 

In addition, Lee & Ko attorney Un Ho Kim was the only attorney from a South Korean law firm to be nominated and awarded the “Asia-Pacific IP Practitioner of the Year” award. In his capacity as an IP lawyer, Mr. Kim has successfully represented top-tier multinational and domestic companies in various intellectual property-related cases and trademark disputes, including representing Samsung in a patent infringement suit against Apple, Lacoste in a trademark invalidation and cancellation suit, BTS in an injunction suit for trademark infringement and a preliminary injunction suit for unfair competition, as well as handling an unfair competition suite related to Haeundae Amso Galbi restaurant name.

MIP Asia Pacific Awards is annually announced by Managing IP, a global IP publication, which selects the top law firm of each country based on surveys and interviews conducted with IP professionals and clients from the Asia region.
