Dr. Injae Shin is a leading industrial safety and health expert. Prior to joining Lee & Ko, Dr. Shin served over 30 years as a senior government official in the Ministry of Labor and Employment and Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA).
As a leading expert, Dr. Shin has worked on various investigations and as well as regulatory development relating to industrial safety and health, including investigating various serious accidents and epidemic studies for occupational cancer, sudden death in a tire factory, comprehensive plan on chemical substances, and preparation of countermeasures against infectious diseases. Also, he has received a Ph.D. in industrial Safety from the University of Bath in the UK and has researched the industrial safety system of developed countries including Germany and the U.K.
Dr. Shin advises organizations on the safety and health systems in order to comply with the applicable laws based on his administrative, legal, and technical expertise. Specifically, he focuses on the response strategy of corporations and public institutions in regard to the prevention of serious accidents, system diagnosis and consulting, and matters relating to industrial safety and health such as industrial accidents.
