Prior to joining Lee & Ko’s Litigation & Arbitration Group as a partner in 2019, Hyungrae Kang served with distinction for 12 years as a law enforcement professional in the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA).

In the course of holding many supervisory positions at the KNPA, including experience working for the Criminal Investigation Bureau and Cyber Bureau (mainly in Seoul), Mr. Kang gained a broad understanding of t police work involving various areas of crime. Based on his extensive experience in law enforcement, Mr. Kang is particularly well equipped to act as an expert adviser on the full spectrum of criminal law matters, with particularly in-depth knowledge of the practical and legal issues that need to be dealt with in cases/matters relating to intellectual property crimes, cyber crimes and economic crimes, as well as traffic crime and violent crimes (e.g. sexual violence, domestic violence and school violence).
