Juwang Yu is a partner in the Corporate and M&A Practice Group. Since joining Lee & Ko in 2017, Mr. Yu has represented major corporations, private equity, financial advisors, joint venture partners and sponsors in matters across regions including the US, Korea, Japan, China, Europe, Australia, Canada, South East Asia, and the Middle East. Mr. Yu’s practice mainly focuses on cross-border M&As, joint ventures and foreign investments. He also advises on a broad range of corporate governance matters for Korean conglomerates.
Mr. Yu holds a LL.M. degree from UChicago Law School and a J.D. from Korea University law school. He is admitted to the Korean Bar (2014), the Illinois Bar (2024) and is expected to be admitted to the New York Bar as well in 2024. Prior to joining Lee & Ko, Mr. Yu served for 3 years in the ROK Army as a Judge Advocate.
