Mr. Dong Hun Gwak is a certified public accountant who joined Lee & Ko in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for Samil PwC as a Tax Specialist and has worked with major multinational companies in the areas of Tax Consulting & Strategic Advisory Services, Tax Audits, Tax Disputes, Advance Rulings and Financial Service Taxation.

Mr. Gwak received his B.A. in Business Administration from Seoul National University in 2011 and is a member of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Gwak has extensive experience in handling a broad range of issues relating to international taxation issues and financial service taxation matters, and has advised numerous Korean and multinational companies, such as Woori Bank, Citi Bank, IBK Bank, Samsung life, KDB life, SK Telecom, SK Planet, Samsung Biologics, Samsung Securities, Macquarie, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund and Interpark on a wide array of tax-related transaction planning, business planning and tax compliance matters, including in-depth advice in connection with various due diligence exercises, M&A transactions, business restructuring plans, pre-tax audit reviews, tax audit defenses, tax appeals and tax rulings. He has also provided detailed tax consultation for major multinational financial institutions doing business in Korea or contemplating doing business in Korea.
