As a member of Lee & Ko's Tax Practice Group, Byoung Ha Lee's practice focuses on tax accounting advice relating to tax compliance issues and various other tax-related matters. Mr. Lee's practice includes special expertise in handling tax appeals.
Prior to joining Lee & Ko, Mr. Lee worked for several years at Korea's National Tax Service (NTS) and at the Seoul Regional Tax Office, where his areas of responsibility included the handling of various international tax (transfer price, offshore tax evasion), tax avoidance analysis and tax investigation matters. Mr. Lee also worked at a tax consultation firm, where he successfully advised and assisted clients with a broad range of tax-related concerns, including tax audits, tax planning advice and tax ruling appeals.
Mr. Lee is a certified tax accountant in Korea and is licensed as a CPA in the United States.
