Prior to joining Lee & Ko, Hyuk Jung Kim served in the Korean Army as a JAG Officer, beginning in 1991. While in the military, he successively served with distinction in the positions of military prosecutor, military judge and head of legal affairs. In such positions, he acquired extensive experience handling a broad range of military related cases. After leaving the military service with the rank of colonel, he served in the Defense Acquisition Program Administration as a legal officer and litigation attorney, with responsibility for handling the full spectrum of legal issues related to defense programs, including advisory duties, litigation management and arbitration etc. His practice at Lee & Ko primarily focuses on cases involving the military, national defense industries and government contracts.
