Sang Chol Yi is a partner in the Banking and Finance Group and the International Trade Group. His practice areas mainly include Asset Finance, Project Finance, Structured Finance & Securitization, Financial Services and Compliance. His practice also extends to international trade including economic sanction and FTA matters.

Mr. Yi has extensively advised domestic and international banks, export credit agencies, financial institutions, investors and major Korean shipping companies in connection with financing for, and/or acquisition or sale of new buildings and secondhand vessels. His recent work also focuses on financing for offshore facilities such as submersible rigs.
His clients include Korean regulatory agencies, banks, financial institutions and lease companies in relation to regulatory issues on banking, finance and lease.

He has also experience in advising major banks, financial institutions and domestic companies in connection with acquisition of domestic companies under the finance context as well as advising domestic banks and financial institutions in relation to financing for construction of residential areas in Korea.

Mr. Yi also pursues academic interests in Intellectual Property and Art Law.
